1. Local and global gift items for sale!
If you missed our Holiday Bazaar on Saturday, never fear! There are still plenty of locally and globally hand-made items availability this week: knitting, pottery, wooden dishes, home-made soap, baby items made from organic hemp cloth, baskets, plush re-purposed teddy bears and Christmas decor, jewelry, cards, calendars and more!
Items will be on display through Thursday, December 18th!
2. Volunteers for inventory welcome! January 2nd
If you’re looking for a good way to volunteer at the co-op, we need you for our year-end inventory - Friday, January 2nd! Volunteering earns co-op members an extra in-store discount for the week you work, AND you get to help the co-op run smoothly!
Inventory tasks include: counting the recording the grocery, fridge and/or freezer merchandise, weighing and recording the bulk inventory, calculating the totals for each merchandise category.
You may come for 1 hour, or for all day, if you like! Inventory will begin at 10 a.m.
Contact the co-op staff by December 30th to let us know of your interest and schedule!
3. Local flour, cornmeal and cracked wheat arriving this week!
Coming back to the bulk bins this week are whole wheat pastry flour, cornmeal and NEW cracked wheat from Bear’s Mill near Greenville, Ohio! These items meet the 100-mile radius test!!
4. Thanks to working meal plan volunteers!
Thanks to all our diligent working meal plan volunteers for a GREAT semester!! It’s been a bumpy ride (even with a false alarm gas leak, you STILL get food on the “table”) and we are glad for your energy and commitment to good food!
We encourage everyone to consider signing up for the working meal plan next semester!! Meal plans will be available for purchase starting Monday, January 5th! The spring meal plan will begin on Monday, January 12th!!
