1. Meal Plan Notes
If you are considering the co-op meal plan and/or are already signed up
for the meal plan, PLEASE READ the following news and notes:

- We still have meal plans available! Come in and sign up today!
- If you are on the working meal plan and have not yet signed up for your
working shift, you should do that THIS WEEKEND. You will need to work two
hours this coming week to make up for the first week!
- If you have not yet paid for your meal plan, next Friday January 30th is
the deadline for this! Please talk to Jon or Janelle if you need to work
out a payment plan or if you foresee having trouble meeting this deadline.

2. Meal Plan Menus January 26-30
Meals are served from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday thru Friday. Vegan and
gluten free options are available daily.

Monday - Veggie Soup and Salad
Tuesday - Leftover Day! and Salad
Wednesday - Greek-Style Zucchini Casserole, Salad
Thursday - Ginger Vegetable Stir-Fry, Wild Rice and Salad
Friday - Tofu “Meatless” Loaf, Beets, Salad

3. Volunteer opportunities
We have a few projects that we could use volunteer help to accomplish!
Volunteers receive a store discount of 5% for every hour/week up to 15%.

- Weekly egg run. We have the possibility of getting Farm Fresh eggs from
an Amish family in Hagerstown, but they must be picked up in Hagerstown on
a weekly basis. If you live near Hagerstown, but come regularly to
Richmond, or are willing to make this weekly trip, please contact Jon or
Janelle about this volunteer job. We can reimburse fuel costs with free
eggs! This would be an ongoing volunteer position.

- Cookbook project. We have sold all copies of our co-op cookbook and
would like to print a new addition. Are you someone who likes to work on
publishing projects? Talk to Jon and Janelle about working to get our new
cookbook project. Helpful if you own a scanner, or have access to one.
This would be a short-term, project specific volunteer position, beginning
ASAP.

- Sprouting workshop leader. Do you have experience with wheatgrass and
seed sprouting? Would you like to help others learn to do their own
sprouting at home? Contact Jon or Janelle about volunteering and
educating others at the same time! We would hope to host a workshop for
college students in February, and perhaps several more for the wider
community in the coming months as well.

4. Plastic containers needed!
We are low on plastic containers! If you have old plastic containers that
you’d like to get rid of, please bring them by! It is helpful if you
clean them thoroughly - but if not, please let us know that they need to
be cleaned.
