Meal Plan Notes: There are two weeks remaining in
the first half of the meal plan. This means you have
until March 6th to use up the first half of your meals!!
For example, if you bought a 2-a-week plan (30 meals
total), you need to have used 15 meals by then.
Ask the checker if you want to know how many meals
you have already used.
2. Volunteer Opportunities!
The co-op is always looking for members to come in
on a regular basis to help with everyday tasks! If you
are already a co-op member, you can earn an extra
in-store discount for the week that you work —
up to 15% off!
We have a few specific volunteer needs coming up:
Bakery Clean-up: Our breadbaking team needs a
few folks who would enjoy working 2 hours (best
schedule would be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.) on Saturdays
or Sundays to help “put the kitchen to bed”. In other
words, wash dishes and general clean-up, as well as
assist the bakers in the bread baking process, if
needed. In particular, our current clean-up person
needs a substitute on Sunday, March 1st to do this
work! A great way to come and “try it out”!
Special Event Volunteering: Spring always brings a
few very special events in which the co-op
participates and we always need people to help
staff our table and/or transport materials to and/or
from the event.
Earlham College Wellness Fair, Thursday, March 5th,
noon to 4 p.m. Volunteers are needed to help Janelle
carry materials over beginning around 11:30, sit at
the table for one or two hours, help bring materials
back at 4 p.m. If you are available for even just one
hour, please contact Jon or Janelle at the co-op!!
Richmond Family Earth Day Celebration, Saturday,
April 25th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Volunteers needed
again for transport of materials and to staff
the table. Located at Indiana University East.
First Quarter Inventory, from 6 to 9 p.m Friday,
March 27th and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday March 28th.
Volunteers are needed to come count and weigh the
store’s inventory with the managers. Volunteers may
come for one hour or more, or even for the whole
time! We also hope to use this time for some much
needed spring cleaning!!! Please get this on your
calendars and plan to come for at least one hour!!
This can be a daunting task, but it is MUCH easier
when we have lots of volunteers!
3. Fresh Bread Only on Sunday this week!
There will be fresh bread this Sunday, February 22nd,
but not on Saturday, the 21st. Thanks for your
understanding!!
4. Local Egg Schedule
Local farm fresh eggs from Abundant Acres will be
arriving each Friday evening around 5 p.m. For the
first few weeks, we imagine the 10 or 12 dozen per
week will go fast, so if you are really needing eggs,
please come early on Saturday. As we get further
into Spring, we hope to see a rise in the egg count,
thus giving us continuous egg availability.
