1. Summer Plans for the Co-op
Click here for an update on the co-op’s plans for
the summer.

2. Transition to Summer SALE!!
Come in to the co-op for our Transition Sale! Nearly
everything in the store will be gradually marked down
to wholesale prices by the end of May. Many items
WILL NOT BE REORDERED over the summer, so stock
up! Exceptions to the sale include eggs, honey, wraps,
Reach for Health kombucha and kraut, B&D basket.

Here’s the sale schedule:
May 22-24 - 20% off
May 26-28 - 25% off
May 29-31 - 30% off

3. Community Gardening, anyone?
COMMUNITY GARDEN: Communities around the
country are establishing community gardens to
assist in growing food for their local food pantries
and to provide plots for people who do not have
adequate space to grow some of their own food.

Would you like to be a part of such an effort in
Richmond? The mayor has expressed a willingness
for community gardeners to use some land at a local
park for gardens.

While we have a good deal more planning to do with
the city, we need interested persons to come together
for this exciting opportunity to participate in the
Richmond Community. We hope this can be a planning
year in order to have a garden up and running next
spring (or sooner if possible). If interested, please

4. Get in the loop! Buying Club email list
As we focus more on the buying club aspect of our
organization this summer, we have created a new
communications tool for those of you who wish to:
- receive information about monthly sales
- coordinate splitting orders with one another
- ask the community questions about items to order

If you wish to become a member of the buying club
and communicate with others, please email the co-op
at coop@clearcreekcoop.org and ask to join the
“buying club” email list.

5. Store Schedule and Closings
As we transition into our two-day-a-week schedule
for the summer, here are the open hours for the
co-op and the store-wide discounts:

May 23 and 24: noon to 5 p.m.
May 25: CLOSED (Memorial Day)
May 26 to 29: noon to 7 p.m.
May 30: CLOSED (building power-down)
May 31: noon to 5 p.m.

Beginning in June, we will be open Tuesdays noon to
7 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Please be
sure to read the update from the board president at
the top of this email for more info.

Here’s the upcoming ORDERING SCHEDULE:
UNFI
– orders in by closing on Friday, May 29
– delivery arriving Tuesday, June 1
– orders will be placed every other Friday

Frontier
– orders in by closing Wednesday, May 27
– delivery probably by Tuesday, June 2
– subsequent orders may include shipping fees
