After several months of careful deliberation and discussion about our new membership structure, and after great discussions with and feedback from our customers and supporters, we’ve finally decided on one! (Of course, it’s still something that we will refine and improve over time, but we have to start somewhere.)
You can read all about it online or in our new owner-membership brochure, which includes an application form to become an owner-member. If you’re interested in supporting this unique, cooperatively owned business model, we’ll look forward to having you join!
(And remember, you are NOT required to become an owner-member to shop at our store downtown! We’re open to the public.)

So you’ve dropped the “Profit Sharing” and “Refundable” aspects that were in the draft proposal?

We’ve not dropped those aspects of membership, but we’re still figuring out just how they work from a legal and accounting perspective. Instead of delaying the promotion of our owner-membership plan any further, we decided to remove that part from the initial printing of the brochure, knowing we could still review those options with owner-members as they join, and add them back to future printings of the brochure.
