Hello all! We wanted to let everyone know about the incredible stock of freshly picked (today!) produce now available at the co-op. David Reed has brought to our store everything he would usually be selling at the Tuesday evening Farmers’ Market. He’s doing us a great service, so show him your appreciation by coming over to look at all these delicious vegetables! We have loads of tomatoes, yellow, red, heirloom and multi-colored cherry. Two types of eggplant, Japanese and Italian. Two types of cucumbers, a small variety and a Lemon cucumber. We have mixed greens, radishes, zucchini, squash, potatoes, apples, basil and various peppers. Really, a great looking batch of produce at very excellent prices. You will not be disappointed!
We are carrying quite a few new grocery items of note. We now have vegetable bouillon cubes, organic ghee (clarified butter), a new gluten free angel hair rice pasta, powdered 100% wasabi (just add water to make a paste), a quick and yummy meal of Cuban style rice and beans, a whole grain gluten free pizza crust mix, two types of pretzels- Bavarian and honey wheat, a crispy rice chocolate peanut granola bar (great for kids’ lunch boxes), two new kinds of fair trade milk chocolate- the bug bites for a small treat or the toffee crunch bar. We are also carrying Whole Soy’s soy yogurt, organic Rice Dream vanilla ice cream, organic vanilla almond milk, two types of Suzie’s crackers- Rosemary and Sesame saltines and Multiseed Spelt flatbread, 32 oz. Nature’s Gate herbal shampoo and conditioner and Real Salt.
Hope to see you soon and have a lovely rest of the week. Thanks!

Hello folks,
I just delivered our new milk line to the coop! The company is Nature’s Farm, and it is a totally local product! The cows live in Indiana pastures, the company is based out of West Lafayette, the milk is processed here in Richmond, and I picked it up at Smith Dairy this afternoon (approximately 4.5 miles to the store). The packing is recyclable and boast a low carbon foot print. The milk has apparently beaten Organic Valley, Horizon, and many other national brands in blind taste tests. The milk also boasts a high omega content that comes from a kelp mixture the cows are fed during the milking. The price is also really great, you can pick up a 1/2 gallon carton for only $3.99! This product supports Indiana families, farms and producers; and fits nicely into the 100 mile radius goal.
