1. BOARD MEETING SUMMARY

 The Co-op Board  held its February meeting last Wednesday (the 16th)
at 6:15 pm in the Co-op. A need was expressed for communication between
the Alternative Site and Economic Support Committees, after which an
involved conversation ensued about the needs of both committees.
Particularly, the Economic Support Committee is on the lookout for persons
with significant knowledge of/experience in the financial and logistical
hurtles involved in business planning. In the meantime we're all doing the
best we can. Minutes are available for those interested in the details,
just email the Co-op with your request. Again, anyone interested in
serving on either committee please talk to one of us in the store for more
info.

4. Recipe of the Week: Sesame Noodles
from the Clear Creek Co-op Cookbook

Serves 4 as a main course

ingredients:
1/4 cup soy sauce or tamari
2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
1 tablespoon toasted esame oil
1/2 teaspoon dried red pepper flakes
3 tablespoons tahini
1 clove fresh garlic minced
2 teaspons fresh ginger peeld and minced
3/4 lb. linguine
1 cup shredded carrot
3 scallions thinly sliced
2 tablespoons toated sesame seeds (optional)

    Whisk together the soy sauce, vinegar, oil, red pepper flakes, tahini,
garlic, and ginger.
     Cook linguine in a large pot of boiling, salted water until just
tender, then drain in a colander and rinse under cold water until
cool. Toss with dressing, carrot, scallions, and sesame seeds.
