Dear devoted Co-op members and friends,

We just wanted to take a moment, on this calm afternoon, as our minds are
full of new information and co-op business, to introduce ourselves. We are
Jon and Janelle Flory Schrock and we hope to get to know many of you in
the coming months. We thank all of you for supporting this wonderful co-op
and for the opportunity to serve you!

We also apologize in advance for any missing or belated items or
procedures that may occur in the next week or so (i.e. no tofu in the
fridge or no monthly member sales). You all hold the collective past
knowledge of this community that we lack as newbies, so please feel free
to bring to our attention anything that you see is missing.

It's great to be in Richmond and a part of your community!

2.  Meal Plan Menu: January 15-19

Monday: Happy New Year! Hoppin John (traditional southern New Year's
dish), Southern Spiced Greens--and--Rice
Tuesday: Three Bean Chili, Corn Pudding, Salad
Wednesday: Macaroni and Cheese-- A la Alex!, Assorted Cheeses with
Broccoli, Salad
Thursday: Black Bean Sweet Potato Tamale Pie, Zucchini and Pepper
Friday: Curried Tofu with Peas and Potatoes, Basmati Rice, Raita

Lunches served from 11:30-1:00. Menu subject to change at Cook's Discretion.


3.  The Meal Plan must go on!
We have reached the point in our Meal Plan sales where we can now only
sell WORKING meal plans! A minimum of 40 volunteers must give 1 hour of
their time a week to make the meal plan run and as of Friday afternoon, we
have LESS THAN HALF of our volunteer slots filled!

- If you still need to buy a meal plan, consider your schedule and come
sign up!
- If you have already signed up for the working meal plan and have not yet
put your name on the schedule, please come by and do that or give us a
call!
- If you have already purchased a non-working meal plan and can switch to
a working meal plan, YEAH! Come see us and we'll work out a reimbursement.

Working meal plan orientations with Kristina Perry, our lovely and
skillful cook, will be Monday, Jan. 15 at 7 pm, Tuesday, January 16 at 3
pm and Wednesday, January 17 at 4 pm. New volunteers must attend one
orientation! And you get yummy snacks for free!
