Co-op Update: July 13 - July 20

1. Inventory - check
Thanks to a couple volunteers who worked the whole day last Saturday we
finished the 2nd Quarter inventory.  And in the process we got inspired to
do some major belated Spring-cleaning.  We disassembled the bulk bins,
washed them all out and swept behind and underneath the racks before
returning the contents and bins to their places; quite a process, and one
that took the whole week and much more volunteer time from Janelle's mom
and brother who just happened to be visiting and needed something to do.


2. New products coming into the Co-op
As the growing season progresses we will be getting more and more produce
from local farmers.  So far we've gotten green beans (.94/lb), cabbage
(.65/head), zucchini (.40/each), beets (.65/lb), and potatoes ($2/basket
or $1/lb).  But call the Co-op to see what we've got (we just went through
16 lbs of green beans this week alone!).
We're starting to get more free-range chicken eggs from a farmer northeast
of town who raises his own feed without chemicals!


3. Closed Sat. July 21
Due to electricity being shut down Sat. July 21, the Co-op will be closed
that day.


4. July Sales and Ordering Schedule

Jon and Janelle are going to Germany for a vacation so the bulk order for
the week of July 17-21 will get put in on Wed. the 18.  If there are
things you want to get in this order, please come in to the Co-op early in
the week. The next order will go out on the usual schedule (Thur. August
2nd).  Check out the list of sales in case you want to order more this
time.  Or you can take advantage of the many sales for products already in
the Co-op.  July sales include:

Bulk Section - Bulk Peanut Butter (crunchy and smooth), Bulk Garbanzo
Beans, Save the Forest Granola, Sunflower Seeds, Bulk Tahini, Bulk Peanut
Sundrops

Grocery Section - Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar and Liquid Aminos, East Wind
Peanut Butter (crunchy and smooth), Kitchen of India Palak Paneer, All
Clif Bars, and Newman's Organic Fig Newmans.

In the Fridge - Soy Boy 5-Grain Tempeh


5. Remember our Saturday Sandwich Special - get a sandwich, chips and a
bottle drink for $4.75 or a sandwich, chips and a can drink for only
$4.50!  Currently in the fridge: Sprite's Delight (vegan)!
