1. Menu October 1-5
All meals come with a vegan and gluten-free option.  Lunch is served
between 11:30 am and 1 pm.

*Monday - Vegetable Tofu Almondine, Autumn Surprise, Salad, WW Muffins
(also GF Option)
*Tuesday - BBQ Tempeh and Peppers, Caribbean Sweet Potato Salad, Green Salad
*Wednesday - The Best Veggie Sandwiches, Jamaican Beans and Rice, Salad
*Thursday - Quinoa Black Bean Salad, Green Salad and Fresh Fruit
*Friday - Creole Beans and Rice, Salad, Ginger Apple Crisp


2. October is Fair Trade Month and Co-op Month!
Did you know that October is Fair Trade Awareness Month and Co-op Month? 
Let's celebrate!! During the month of October we are looking for ways to
celebrate and raise awareness about Fair Trade, as well as celebrate our
life as a co-op!  Many of our fair trade products will be on sale in
October, and we plan to feature them in a central location in the co-op. 
Bring us your ideas about other ways to celebrate these things.  All of us
sharing our creativity and knowledge is what makes community growth and
awareness-building happen!


3. October Sales
Among the items on sale (some are Member only sales) in October are:
Whole Wheat Bread Flour, Bulk Peanut Butters, Bulk Pinto Beans, Glad Corn,
Wasabi Peas, Dominex Eggplant Burgers, All Divine Chocolate, Choice
Organic Teas, Citra-Solv Natural Cleaning Solvent, Clif Builder Bars, and
Soy Boy Tofu.


4. Come to the Inventory WorkDay and guess to win some Kettle Chips!
It's finally here!! Tomorrow is our quarterly Inventory/Work Day!  To
entice some of you who are on the fence about spending some of your
Saturday counting and weighing and cleaning (we'd be grateful for even one
hour of your time!), we'll be having a "Guess the Number of Kettle Chips
Bags" Contest!  At 3 pm, we'll announce the correct number and the winner
may have a free bag of chips and a drink (managers' treat), or something
else from the co-op worth $3 or less.  Also, there will be good music,
snacks, and good company! More hands make for light work!
