2. Why you should attend the Annual Member meeting!
The Co-op is having its annual member meeting on Sunday, November 11,
2007 from 3-5 PM, at the store. Don't miss this important opportunity to
help us shape the future of the Co-op! We'll be discussing the
organization's mission and how it might be changing, efforts to expand
our membership and presence in the community, and what it means to
support and be supported by a food cooperative today. We welcome
members and non-members alike to join us for good food, news, and
discussion.

3. Thanks for the plastic containers! keep 'em coming!
Hey, thanks for responding to our plea for plastic containers last week!
We walked in on Monday morning, and the bin was overflowing! Please think
of us every once in awhile when you're filling your plastics recycling bin
and bring us those re-usable containers. We appreciate this community so
much!

4. Alternative Holiday Bazaar, December 8, 10am to 5pm
For four years now, the Co-op has held an bazaar that showcases local
artistry and crafts, as well as international gifts, holiday cards,
calendars, and more. Saturday December 8th (10 am to 5 pm) will be a
lively festive day at the Co-op. We will have items from
Richmond/Earlhamites, cards and posters from Syracuse Cultural Workers and
fair trade items from SERRV International/A Greater Gift!

WOULD YOU LIKE TO SELL ITEMS AT THE BAZAAR? We need your creative
"masterpieces"! Bring in knitting, jewelry, photography, pottery...tell
us what you would like to make off of it, and we simply add 25% to go
towards the Co-op and you get your asking price in the end. A great way
to earn a little extra holiday cash AND support the Co-op. Contact
Janelle at the Co-op if you would like to sell your items (by Thanksgiving
is best, at least to just drop in to indicate your interest)!

5. New items at the Co-op!
We're continuing to try to offer a variety of exciting new products that
also originate from our surrounding area. Last week, we began a
relationship with the Fountain Acres Market and Deli, owned and operated
by an Amish couple near Fountain City. They are reselling roll butter to
us a case at a time. The butter originates from dairy farmers in Ohio. It
is not "certified organic". A 10 oz roll of butter is available at $2.49.

From Persimmon Forge Farms: Natural Lip Balm made from Cocoa Butter,
Castor Oil, Almond Oil, Beeswax and Clove Essential Oil for $3.00 (you can
return the container to be re-used!) and Local Honey in 16oz bottles for
$2.50.

Also added in recent months from United Natural Foods:
Equal Exchange Very Dark Chocolate (71% cocoa)
Adina Iced Coffee (Mayan Mocha, Indian Iced Chai Latte and Sumatran
Vanilla Latte - most ingredients certified Organic and Fair Trade)
Divine Chocolate Fair Trade Advent Calendars
Mediterranean Oasis Lentil Dip
Meditalia Sundried Tomato Tapenade

6. Produce coming in Tuesday includes:
Pink Lady Apples - 65 cents each
White Garlic - $5.00 per lb
White Ginger - $9.58 per lb

Also, we are getting more Columbia Gorge Smoothies (Mango and
Strawberry-Banana! Yum!)
