2. Coca-Cola Buys 40% of Honest Tea
This past Tuesday morning, as we listened to NPR for Super Tuesday's
election results, we were shocked to hear that Honest Tea CEO and
co-founder, Seth Goldman, had sold a 40% stake in his business to
Coca-Cola. This will give Coca-Cola the option to purchase Honest Tea
after 3 years.

Goldman says the deal will "help take our brand and our mission to a
larger scale and wider audience."

What do the members and patrons of the Clear Creek Co-op think about this
move? How should we respond? Should we stop selling Honest Tea? Should
we cut back? Should we make no change? We'd be interested to hear how
you view this deal and other similar deals that small, but growing,
natural and organic companies are making, in order to bring their products
to wider audiences. Also, if you have information about other items the
co-op should or should not carry, please let us know!

3. Wellness Fair: Volunteers needed for Co-op Booth!
The 7th Annual Wellness Fair, hosted by the Earlham College Wellness
Committee, will be taking place on March 6th from noon to 4 pm at the
Earlham College Wellness Center, right next to the co-op. The purpose of
the fair is to "foster an interactive, demonstrative, hands-on environment
where exhibitors and participants have an open dialogue regarding health
and wellness issues and resources within the Wayne County Community."

As in years past, the co-op will host a booth for the fair and we need
several volunteers who are willing to spend time at the booth, talking
with participants about the products and services offered at the co-op.
Your donation of 1 to 4 hours time would be greatly appreciated, and
naturally, will earn you an additional discount at the co-op for that
week.

Please let us know as soon as possible of your interest - by calling or
emailing Janelle. See contact number below.
